IT’S FRIDAY THE THIRTEENTH! But no matter cause every day is Friday the 13th.
The election is over and we have a new President-Elect. The only person that truly doesn’t accept that is our lame duck President. I am no legal eagle, but I have listened to enough people from both sides of the aisle and to people who regardless of party, are experts in the field of law, and all agree that the lawsuits being brought have no weight and that recounts may shift the numbers a bit, but will not substantially change the outcome of this election.
Most can read the writing on the proverbial wall, even those Republicans in office. There is only one person who cannot read this language and it is the person that more than any, need to accept this outcome. This is what we’re being told:
Well, yes he does, but with a sound mind. Who knows, there may be small pockets of wrongdoing, but most of the errors are clerical in nature and not nefarious. The charge that the election is being stolen totally undermines the bedrock of beliefs that our country was built on. The only thing that these accusations are doing is undermining our democratic process. Regardless of argument, the powers that be are adamant that these investigations will not move the electoral college needle and it certainly won’t sway the popular vote in his favor. Those boats have sailed.
Huh? How old is he? 10? Give me a break. We all have lost at some point in our life, we’ve all been rejected, but we go about our daily tasks and we work these things out within ourselves. We don’t take our disappointments, anger, frustration, or plain embarrassment out on other people. All he is doing is showing that he harbors a great sense of insecurity and is wallowing in it for the whole world to see. And it’s not pretty, at all. In fact, it’s so ugly that whatever clout he built over the last four years is dwindling quickly.
What an amazing amount of unpatriotic bullshit this man is pulling. He has been touting himself as a great American, THE greatest patriot, for years and years and here he is, when it is up to him to show how great of an American he is and honor what our country has held so dear for over 200 years, the peaceful transition of power, he is poo-pooing all over it. American presidential history has never seen someone so self-centered in all it’s years; and we’ve seen some doozies.
That is his right, but in the meantime, the Republican party has a right to take their party back. This guy will be four years older and in his current physical shape, plus four years, it doesn’t bode well for his being able to run again. Not to mention that as soon as he leaves office, he will be facing a host of legal battles that could land him in a position that might leave him unable to legally run for office ever again.
Our country is hurting, domestically and internationally. Some see it, some don’t. If anything, the American people have voted for some peace. For some peace that we can focus on real issues instead of one man. We can focus more on our every day, instead of wondering if today is the day everything ends. We can focus on bettering ourselves and by doing so can make others around us better. We can get out of the mindset that it’s “me first”, winning at all costs. We can focus on being able to love everybody again, regardless of who they voted for, because in the end, we’re all in this together.
Once we’re able to heal here at home, we can reach out and start healing with the world. Hopefully this vote of the American people will show those we have hurt around the world in the past few years that we’re good people, that we’re good partners, good ambassadors, ready to join the collective to help save our planet, no matter the cost financially. Cause if we don’t, our children’s children will endure more hardships than we could ever imagine. Wearing a mask every day, every where, will be the tip of the iceberg.
I don’t care how you voted, all I ask is that you don’t follow our lame duck President’s example. Accept and join the collective to better the piece of the world that you touch. Little efforts lead to big things. I love you all and am so proud that we had an amazing voting turnout in this election. It means everything, to us today, to those that fought for that right, and continue to fight for that right. Keep doing it. Every single vote counts, as has been proven in the last couple of weeks.
Peace.
